DESCRIPTIONSet on the Atlantic Seaboard in Hout Bay, Villa Afrique is one of the few establishments in the area located on the verge of the sea with the beach and restaurants within walking distance. We have 4 tastefully furnished en suite luxury rooms overlooking the working fishing harbour, the bay and Chapmans Peak. Also available are 2 self catering rooms which are fully equipped and located in a separate building.All 4 rooms are en-suite and tastefully decorated for style and comfort. Centrally located, the lodge is well situated when it comes to travelling to Simons Town, Cape Point and Cape Town. On the other side, Cape Town is a mere 20 minutes drive away along the verge of the beautiful Atlantic Seaboard or through the picturesque Constantia Forest.
Plenty of year round activity in our working harbour where fishing boats land their seasonal catches on the quayside. Tuna, snoek and many other types of fish are sold to bystanders at reasonable prices. The marina offers daily trips to Duiker Islandwhere seals and the occasional whales can be viewed. Deep sea fishing, sunset cruises and diving expeditions are also on offer.
Large family beach that stretches from one side of Hout Bay to the other. When the whales are around from August to November they can easily be spotted from the beach. For surfing there is Llandudno beach which is a couple of minutes drive from Hout Bay. Most other beaches are within close proximity of each other
