DESCRIPTIONSeacove Lodge is self catering accommodation at its best. Our Lodge was opened on the 1 December 2006. We have 3 double flatlets. Each furnished with a kitchen and en-suite. The kitchen is equipped with a bar fridge, microwave, electric frying pan, kettle, toaster, cutlery and utensils. The bedroom has a double bed&dressing table. There is a TV with DSTV (Please bring your own smart card). The kitchen/lounge/dinning area are open-planned and flows out onto a balcony, with a view of the sea. Each flat can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children. (Extra beds available on request) Parking on site. Pets allowed.Blythedale Beach is located 40 mins North of Durban on the Dolphin Coast. Blythedale is a small community with stunning beaches on an unspoilt coastline. Our beach has shark nets and Life guards in season. The lagoon which falls within the Umvoti conservancy provides an abundance of bird life. (3km from main beach) Fishing, musseling and Cray fishing are possible with the appropriate licenses.There is an abundance of bottle-nosed dolphins that visit all year round. In Blythedale we also offer Quad Biking, Dolphin Viewing, Micro lighting&Jet skiing to name a few.Blythedale Beach has a very low crime rate due to our 24 hour security in our town, which is administered by Warrior Security.
There is a convenience store, bottle store and restaurant within walking distance. ( kms) Excellent shopping is available in Ballito (20 kms south). Gateway there of shopping, the largest shopping complex in the southern hemisphere, lies on the outskirts of Umhlanga Rocks. (30 kms South)
A must to see in Durban (40 km south) is the Ushaka Marine World and the Umgeni River Bird Park.
For the golfer there are 5 outstanding golf courses within a 30 km radius. Darnal 9 holes, Princes' Grant 18 holes, Umhlali Country Club 18 holes, (all three with 7 kms), Zimbali 18 holes and Maidstone Country Club 9 holes, (these two within 20 kms)
North of Blythedale Beach you will find Lake St Lucia, which is a world heritage site, a 157 km drive. The Hluhluwe-UmfoloziGame is a 130 km drive.
