DESCRIPTIONHistoric beachhouse designed in 1916 by Sir Herbert Baker for HEV Pickstone, right above Grotto beach in Voelklip. La Gratitude enjoys wonderful privacy, being built on 6 plots with large garden, despite having arguably the best position in Hermanus, being the closest house to the most popular beach. La Gratitude sleeps 10 comfortably with 5 bedroom and 4 bathrooms. The house has recently been renovated and refurbished with new fully equipped kitchen and bathrooms. There is a new outdoor entertainment area with pool and jacuzzi. There are two sitting rooms, both TV/DVD players and there is also a music system. The magnificent dinning room table seats 10 comfortably. The beds have 100% cotton percale linen with satin stitching and bathtowels are provided.The house comes with a daily maid service, but any additional services, such as a cook, chef, au-pair etc can be arranged. It is the ideal venue for family or group holidays, as well as weddings and film location. La Gratitude has been given 4 stars by the South Africa Tourism Grading council.
