The lodge is named after the beautiful Jackalberry Tree that occurs widely in the bushveld.The bush around the lodgeteems with game.More than 60 species of wildlife can be found in the immediate vicinity, including lion, leopard, buffalo, rhino, hyena and cheeta. Jackalberry is also a paradise for birdwatchers, where more than 280 species have been recorded.
