The name “Isikhulu” means “big chief” or “the best one” in Zulu and the apartment certainly lives up to its name. 46 Isikhulu faces the ocean with breathtaking views from every room - either of the beach with its breaking waves or of the indigenous forest with its abundant birdlife and Vervet Monkeys.
Luxuriously appointed, 46 Isikhulu is set in a secure complex right on the beach. The complex has its own private pool. Remote access allows you entrance to the safe, underground parking garage where two parking bays have been allocated to 46 Isikhulu. Ample, safe parking is also available in the complexes outside parking area.
Being a penthouse apartment, 46 Isikhulu boasts it own entrance, ensuring greater privacy. The large lounge is open plan to the kitchen and the dining room, from where your views of the ocean are unparalleled. In fact, you almost feel as if you are on an ocean-going liner! Four sliding doors lead to the sea-facing balcony, with its stunning alfresco entertainment area. Perfect for breakfasts, barbecues and sundowners, you can spend hours lounging here, soaking up the sunshine, watching thedolphins and whales playing in the ocean and wondering about the distant ships lining up to enter Durban harbour. A Weber barbecue on the balcony allows you to enjoy the South African braai culture to the full.
The kitchen is well-equipped and modern with state of the art electric appliances, including fridge/freezer, automatic washing machine, tumble dryer and. microwave – and everything you would need to whip up your own gourmet meals. The dining table seats eight people – in addition, the outside dining table seats six.
The TV lounge is well-equipped with DVD player, video recorder, satellite TV and sound system.
The apartment is serviced daily (except over weekends and public holidays) and an additional maid service can be arranged on request. Air conditioning in the main living area and the main bedroom, with ceiling fans in the other two bedrooms, ensure that you stay cool during those very hot subtropical days. Please note:
