DESCRIPTIONIKHAYA LETHU - OUR HOME - MARLOTH PARK MPUMALANGEIt's a self-catering facility with a total sleeping space for 8 people. It's a double story thatched house. Downstairs: kitchen, sitting/living area, bathroom, main bedroom (with double bed). Upstairs: 2 loft-like areas – one side has 2 bunker beds (sleep 4) and the other side 2 single beds.Viewing deck upstairs.
Outside are a braai(BBQ)area and an outdoor shower. We also provide security with an alarm system and a panic button – the security company has a quick response should alarm go off.
The kitchen is fully equipped. A company cleans the house once a week and they will switch on all appliances on the day that you arrive. The house has electricity but there is an oil lamp should there be a power outage. The stove works with gas.
We do not supply the linen – only the inners (pillows and duvets). We can however supply it separately at a rate should you require it.
Wealways suggest that our guests bring food for the animals. It just adds to your Marloth experience. Fruit and birdseeds for the birds and mealies for the Warthogs, Zebras and Kudus. The animals in the region are used to humans and some will even eat from your hand – please bear in mind they remainwild and should be treated with caution. We add a game lick to our premises in the winter, as food is scarce. Please do not feed the monkeys or baboons, as they can be a nuisance – also always close all windows and doors when leaving the house – they cause a lot of damage when they get in!
